Security & electrical in Sydney CBD

Commercial CCTV, access control and electrical for offices, retail and strata in the Sydney CBD — compliant installs, after-hours work and certificates on completion.

CBD work is process work. Before a cable moves in a Sydney tower there are building inductions to complete, base-building standards to meet, riser and ceiling access to book through the building manager, and often a requirement that noisy or common-area work happens outside tenancy hours. We plan CBD security and electrical projects around those realities from the first quote, because a contractor who discovers them mid-job blows the fit-out program.

Most of our CBD engagements arrive through fit-outs: a business taking a new floor or suite needs access control on its entry doors, cameras over reception and server rooms, cabling to the base-building riser, and the electrical for all of it — delivered to the builder's timeline and certified for the defects-and-completion paperwork.

What we do in Sydney CBD

Local knowledge

Integration is the recurring technical theme. CBD tenancies rarely stand alone — the tenancy's access control has to hand off to the base building's lift and after-hours entry systems, fire-trip requirements govern how door locking behaves, and building management wants documentation showing the tenancy system won't interfere with the base building. We handle that coordination directly with building engineers so our clients' project managers don't have to translate between trades.

After-hours delivery is the other constant. Trading retail, occupied offices and building rules push a large share of CBD installation into evenings and weekends, and we quote those windows explicitly — including the loading-dock bookings and security escorts some towers require — rather than pricing a daytime job and arguing about variations later. Every project closes with labelled cabling, as-installed documentation and the CCEW for the electrical work.

A recent job in Sydney CBD

A professional-services firm fitting out a floor in a tower near Wynyard engaged us for the security package inside a six-week builder's program: access-controlled entry and secondary doors, cameras covering reception and the comms room, and cabling back to the base-building riser. We completed the building induction and dock bookings in week one, coordinated the fire-trip interface for the door locking with the base-building contractor, and ran the noisy work across two approved evening windows. The system was commissioned and documented three days before practical completion, with lift-access handoff to the base building tested and signed off.

Sydney CBD questions, answered

Can you work within our building's induction and after-hours rules?
Yes — inductions, dock bookings, escorts and out-of-hours windows are standard conditions of CBD work and we build them into the program and the quote. Tell us the building and we'll deal with its management directly.
Does our tenancy access control need to integrate with the base building?
Usually, at least for after-hours entry and lift access, and the fire system will govern how your doors lock. We coordinate the interfaces with the building's contractors and document them so both systems behave predictably.
Can the security package be delivered inside our fit-out builder's program?
That's how we prefer to work — cabling at the right construction stage, hardware after painting, commissioning before practical completion. We attend the builder's coordination meetings when the project needs it.
What happens to the system when we eventually leave the tenancy?
Make-good clauses usually apply, and it's worth planning for at install time. We design so tenancy equipment can be cleanly removed or handed over, and keep the documentation that makes either path straightforward.
